FNM‘s projects are developed to reduce emissions improving recyclable materials use; In 2011, following company’s “green philosophy”, FNM Marine introduced for the first time a marine engine with hybrid technology, totally designed and developed by R&D team. Thanks to FNM innovative hybrid system, sailing at zero emissions in protected areas will be possible without restrictions. Fnm Development and Production Technical Center is located in Atella, Potenza, Basilicata region. The innovative equipments in our plant allow to assembly and marinize more than 1.000 engines per year.
Before the delivery, every single engine, is tested to certify the quality and reliability. More than 60 people with high marine industry experience work inside the plant, ensuring a high level production and high level management of different activities.
Fnm R&D Dept. is composed of highly skilled in mechatronics engineers and technicians, always focused on improving R&D knowledge.
Company offers support at each process stage, from design to testing and marine engine’s development, providing emissions certification and all documents for engines and equipments sales.

Fnm is supported by CMD R&D team, who, through research projects and consultancies activities in cooperation with universities and private research centres, has a strong experience in avio, CHP systems and machining.

The FNM always cares about environmental. The future has always been designed in terms of fuel economy and performance optimization. Fnm has been the first company believing into displacement’s downsizing and changing an automotive engine into marine since late 1980s.
FNM engineers devote more than 30% of their activities developing systems aimed at further reducing exhausted emissions, aligning with automotive regulations. In 2011 it was the first company producing in series a hybrid marine engine, fully conceived and developed in R&D department: FNM HYBRID SYSTEM.
For over a year the HPE series is compliant with the European and American emissions regulations in force since 2017.
“Green four-leaf clover” versions increase the MY2017 range. They respect the environment with a small sizes and using 100% recyclable materials.
